Apartment Spotlight: Byron House & Nelson Court

Today’s blog introduces you to two of our popular locations: Byron House and Nelson Court. Apartment Spotlight: Byron House

A smart, contemporary building, Byron House is home to spacious studio apartments with king-sized beds. Each apartment has a fully-equipped kitchen (a feature shared with all our apartments) and its own private balcony or terrace. Here guests can take in some fresh air with their morning coffee or enjoy an evening drink. For an evening out, those staying in Byron House have The Grafton Centre right on their doorstep. This large shopping and entertainment arcade boasts a wide range of big-name restaurants. Also alongside an eight-screen Vue Cinema showing the latest exciting releases.

 

Byron House is only a fifteen-minute walk away from Cambridge’s historic city centre. Visitors can also find nearby the lively, vibrant campus of Anglia Ruskin University. As well as top-rated eateries like Thrive and Espresso Library. Thrive serves delicious vegan dishes and acts as a community hub, hosting eclectic events. This includes poetry readings and jazz-fusion DJ nights. While the glass-fronted Espresso Library is the ideal place to meet friends and colleagues over drinks or a tasty brunch. With these advantages, it comes as little surprise that past guests expressed how highly they would recommend Byron House. They also expressed how much they hope to stay in the exact same apartment on a return visit!

Apartment Spotlight: Nelson Court

Like Byron House, Nelson Court is under twenty minutes’ walk away from iconic landmarks. Such as King’s Chapel and Trinity College and is also within a mile of the Cambridge Business and Science Parks. Located in a desirable residential area, the development has received an award for its attractive design. It contains stylishly furnished studios and 1-3 bed apartments. Previous visitors have said a Nelson Court apartment provides “pretty much everything one would need.” Guests can make the most of their fully-equipped kitchens by heading to A Waller and Son Butchers and Radmore Farm Shop. Around the corner from Nelson Court, these rustic, family-run businesses supply ranges of locally-sourced ingredients for a special meal. Make sure to pick up one of the cakes, freshly baked at Radmore Farm, to have for dessert! 

 

If not relaxing or entertaining in their apartments, Nelson Court guests are also well-placed to take in classic Cambridge sights. A short stroll over the Victoria Street Bridge brings visitors to the bank of the River Cam. You can enjoy a walk or run through lush greenery while watching student rowers out on the water. This area is particularly magical in the early morning. The sun rises and college crews set out for their first training session of the day.
