Apartment Spotlight: The Hamiltons & Jubilee House

Published on June 13, 2022 by hello@douglassdigital.com

As we approach the summer of 2022, there’s a lot to brighten our days in Cambridge. Teams are returning to their offices to connect and collaborate, and the city is welcoming back more and more international visitors. What’s more, if you are planning to visit Cambridge, take advantage of everything the global business hub and culture can offer. Why not consider the comfort and security of staying in a serviced apartment? Today’s blog shows the apartment spotlight of our two apartment locations – The Hamiltons and Jubilee House. Explore why these spots are sought after and why they might make a first-class base for your Cambridge stay.

Spotlight: The Hamiltons

Found just a fifteen-minute walk from the historic city centre, The Hamiltons is home to both one and two bedroom apartments. Furthermore, it includes a penthouses that provide balcony views across Cambridge’s rooftops. The apartments are also within easy reach of the Cambridge Business and Science Parks. It’s an ideal accommodation choice for anyone working at organisations that have offices or laboratories on these coveted sites.

Previous guests have described The Hamiltons as “a home away from home.” In addition, the apartment’s nearest grocery store is a minute away, you can easily source ingredients for your needs.

Alternatively, a short street walk leads to some quintessentially English pubs where guests can enjoy a meal or a round of drinks. The Boathouse boasts a beautiful riverside terrace while The Green Dragon was a favourite of  J.R.R. Tolkein. What’s more, it helped inspire him to write The Lord of the Rings! The Hamiltons is also just across the River Cam from Midsummer Common. This expansive, ancient grassland is a rural refuge in the heart of the city. In the warmer months, it also serves as the grazing ground for a peaceful herd of Red Poll cattle. The rolling Common offers the natural beauty of a countryside escape and is the perfect place to unwind. Heading there for a walk or run to clear the mind, before returning “home from home” to their apartments.

Spotlight: Jubilee House

Those wishing to benefit from Cambridge’s connections to other areas, including London, should consider staying in Jubilee House. The traditional Victorian building contains one and two bedroom apartments. It’s a simple, ten minute walk away from Cambridge station, where trains leave regularly for key destinations. The prosperous area around the station is the ‘CB1 quarter,’ it’s been revitalised as a centre for contemporary business. Its range of office spaces (already hosting Microsoft and Amazon,) outdoor areas, cafes, bars and a visiting street-food fair.

Like The Hamiltons, Jubilee House is popular with and consistently praised by our guests due to its fantastic location. As well as the “excellent service” provided by Your Space staff! One recent guest describes how “nothing was too much trouble” for the team. Responding swiftly to queries, requests and “wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Your Space Apartments to anyone [travelling] to Cambridge UK.”
